In which regions are customer data stored?
amaise operates three independent production environments in dedicated AWS regions:
EU: eu-central-1 (Frankfurt, Germany)
US: us-east-2 (Ohio, USA)
CH: eu-central-2 (Zurich, Switzerland)
Each environment runs in a completely separate AWS account — with no cross-account access. The region is set per customer during onboarding. Data is not replicated across regions.
Data residency guarantee: EU data does not leave Europe. Swiss data remains exclusively in Switzerland — both storage (AWS Zurich) and AI processing (Azure OpenAI Switzerland North). US data remains in the USA. AI processing is also regional: EU and US use zone-bound processing, Switzerland uses models deployed exclusively in Switzerland North.
These guarantees are contractually anchored in the data processing agreement and enforced architecturally through separate AWS accounts, absence of VPC peerings, and regional Azure OpenAI deployment SKUs.
