Administration: IP-Allowlist

Written by amaise Support

With the IP-Allowlist you restrict access to your workspace to specific IP addresses and CIDR ranges. The feature must be enabled by amaise (entitlement «ENABLE_IP_ALLOW_LIST»). Once it is active, you find it as an administrator under «Settings» → «Integration».

Adding entries

In the «Allowed IPs and CIDR ranges» field you add one entry per line: individual IPv4 or IPv6 addresses, or whole CIDR ranges. amaise flags invalid input straight away with «Not a valid IP address or CIDR range». You can only edit the list once filtering is switched on.

Turning filtering on

Use the «Restrict API access to allowed IPs» toggle to switch filtering on and off. Editing requires the «TENANT__U_CONFIG» permission — held by Workspace Admins and Technical Admins with configuration rights.

Even though the toggle says «API access»: the restriction applies to all authenticated access to the workspace — both through the web app and through the API and SDK, not just the API.

What always counts is the public IP address (egress IP) as amaise sees it — not the local address of your device. Behind a corporate proxy or VPN, the externally visible address is therefore the one that matters.

Note: An empty list cannot be saved while filtering is enabled — so you cannot accidentally lock yourself out.

Recovery: amaise Support retains access for recovery cases, should you ever lock yourself out.
