LegalPilot helps you with legal research. Ask legal questions and get well-founded answers — independent of the documents in your case.
Open LegalPilot
LegalPilot has no icon of its own in the tool bar — you reach it via the speed dial inside the chat panel:
Click the CasePilot icon (or the DocPilot icon) in the tool bar on the right edge to open the chat panel
Hover over the pilot icon to the left of the input field — the assistant options unfold
Click the gavel icon with the hint "Legal research" and the Beta badge
💡 The panel keeps the title "CasePilot". You can tell that legal research is active by the gavel icon next to the input field and the placeholder "Research legal information".
⚠️ LegalPilot is in the BETA stage and not part of the standard license. Expect frequent changes or limited functionality.
Ask a question
Type your legal question into the input field
Press Enter or click the send arrow
LegalPilot researches independently of your case content and gives you a well-founded answer
The options above the input field (Format, Adapt for, Answer in) work the same way as in CasePilot.
Previous conversations
On the start screen, under "Previous conversations", you find your earlier chats — together with your CasePilot conversations in the same case. Click an entry to reopen the conversation and continue it. The X that appears when you hover over an entry deletes a conversation.
Difference from CasePilot and DocPilot
CasePilot — Answers questions based on all documents in the case
DocPilot — Answers questions about the open document or up to 5 selected documents
LegalPilot — Answers general legal questions, independent of case content
