Here you find short answers to questions we often get about Document study. Each answer links to the article with the details.
How do I report a wrong or missing result?
If a document is misfiled, or a document or an important finding is missing, we want to know. Our team reviews every report.
Open the support chat with the question mark "Help" at the top right and choose "Report a problem" — or just write to us in the chat.
Give us the case reference (as shown in the cases overview), the affected document — easiest with "Copy link" in the document's three-dot menu — and what you would have expected, for example "this document is a medical report, not an invoice".
We confirm receipt in the chat, review the case and get back to you. There is no need to send an email.
A document or finding is missing or wasn't recognized. What should I do?
Report it to us in the support chat as described above. Give us the case reference and describe what is missing or what amaise should have recognized. We review the case and get back to you.
How do I see all my highlighted items in one place?
With the Annotations section of the filter sidebar. In Document study, the filter sidebar sits to the left of the document list in the Document storage panel; the Annotations section lies between Document types and Labels. It shows only the documents that carry an annotation, your own and your colleagues', and appears as soon as the case contains at least one annotated document.
Click the chip of an annotation type or, if the case contains several types, Any annotation to see all annotated documents.
More in Document study: Filter and select documents, section "Find your highlights and comments".
How do I remove a highlight?
Open the document in the PDF viewer and click the highlight. In its popup, remove it with Delete (trash icon) or pick another color to recolor it. To delete a comment, use the ⋮ menu on its comment card.
Annotations belong to the case: what you delete disappears for your colleagues too. You can delete and recolor annotations if your role allows editing documents.

A document has the wrong document type or is in the wrong dossier. What can I do?
Report it to us in the chat as described above, and we'll check the assignment. You can also correct it yourself:
Document type: in the document list, open the document's three-dot More options menu and choose Change document type. Click the right type; the search field at the top helps you find it. Undo in the Change saved notice reverts the change right away.
Dossier: drag the document from the list onto the right dossier in the Dossiers section of the filter sidebar. amaise then asks whether the other documents from the same source file should go there too: choose Only this document or All documents. If the dossier isn't in the list or is greyed out, expand the section if needed and click the eye icon Show all dossiers in the section header. It appears when you move the mouse over the section and shows all dossiers, including empty ones.
Both work if your role allows editing documents, and not for a document with the Paginated badge (see the next question).
More in Document study: Document list, section "Actions per document", and in Document study: Organizing documents, section "Dossiers".
Why can't I move, split or delete a document?
If the document shows the Paginated badge (with a lock icon), it is locked: it belongs to a created export with fixed pagination. You can no longer change its document type or data, move it, split or merge it, mark it as a duplicate, or delete it. Only an administrator can unlock it by removing the pagination (Delete pagination in the document's three-dot menu).
